In order to successfully carry out any mission, the operator in the field needs information. This concept has driven AT-RISK to create its internal Threat Assessment Center. This center operates not only as our Command Center, but also as a support service to our investigators and agents in the field.
Our investigators rely upon this center to provide them with pre-surveillance support and research. In addition, the Center tracks the efforts of our investigative staff to better combine the efforts of our protection and investigative staff. If our protection staff requires counter-surveillance support and an investigator is available in the area, the Center can dispatch them as needed.
The Threat Assessment Center's primary mission is to support our protective details. The staff of the Center are specially trained to search, evaluate and process information regarding the safety and security of our protectees. This active search effort allows us to locate potential threats prior to their becoming imminent. As an advanced support unit for protective detail operations, the Center provides the detail with up-to-date threat information and evaluation of existing threats. Through cataloguing and proprietary databases, the Center staff can use link analysis techniques and behavioral assessment skills to provide true threat and risk assessments for the team in the field.
